Common designs include the U-bolt style, featuring a U-shaped bolt with saddle and nuts, and the fist grip style, which uses bolts and heavy hex nuts allowing full wrench arc movement during installation. U-bolt clamps must be installed with the base on the live end and the U-bolt on the dead end to prevent rope damage, while fist grip clamps offer orientation flexibility. Materials include forged steel, cast steel, or stainless steel, with zinc plating or galvanizing for corrosion resistance.<\/p>\n
