Hot Line Stirrup

The Hot Line Stirrup clamps aluminum and Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) conductors for electrical connections. Its compression joint and conductor groove are filled with inhibitor to prevent corrosion and enhance performance. The snap-on design enables quick installation, while a twin current path ensures reliable conductivity. Captured hardware prevents accidental disassembly during use.

The body uses aluminum alloy construction, with a bail made from hard drawn copper. Eye bolts are forged steel with hot dip galvanized finish. Optional tin plating is available by adding suffix “TN”. Select variants feature silicon bronze bodies with hex head bolts, and stainless steel springs in models with suffixes “-SL” or “-SL2” indicating springs in one or both trunnions.

Models accommodate clamping ranges from #2 to 250 American Wire Gauge (AWG), supporting All Aluminum Conductor (AAC) and ACSR types. Minimum conductor sizes start at #4 ACSR, with maximum capacities reaching 4/0. Dimensions vary by catalog number: overall length typically measures 6.25 inches with 3.19-inch width, while openings reach up to 4.00 by 4.06 inches. Eye bolt sizes are either 3/8 inch or 7/16 inch. Catalog numbers include HLS-397-E, HLS-795, HLS-4/0, and HLS-2/0-CC, each configured for specific conductor ranges. Units ship individually wrapped in polyethylene, with standard pack quantities of 10 to 50 pieces.
